Tabriz rugs come in both bold and contrasting colours, such as dark red and powerful blues with ivory, as well as soft and subtle colours like soft green, blue, pink and brown (typically found in new carpets). The quality and price of the Tabriz rug varies depending upon the density of knots. The finer weaved Tabriz rugs and carpets are made using a blend of Kurk wool (from the neck of lambs) and silk. They are highly prized because they are one of the best-looking and finest quality carpets in Iran and the world.
